DYNAMIC OCEAN TOPOGRAPHY

A time-mean Dynamic Ocean Topography (DOT) was computed by Don Chambers (now at Univ. of South Florida), using the Danish National Space Center's altimetric Mean Sea Surface and the U.S. National Geospatial Agency's EGM 2008 geoid. The DOT, derived geostrophic velocities, and images for the above are available here.

NOTE: these data were added 8/2008. In the meantime newer and better time-mean Dynamic Ocean Topographies have been generated using ESA's GOCE data, alone or in combination with GRACE. Those can be obtained using the GOCE Users's Toolbox, GUT, available at https://earth.esa.int/web/guest/software-tools/gut
