Last Call at the Oasis

GRACE researcher, Jay Famiglietti from the University of California, Irvine, was included in the documentary on global water issues called 'Last Call at the Oasis.' The movie was produced by Participant Media, who also produced, 'An Inconvenient Truth', and 'Food, Inc'.
Jay's role was that of a water quantity experts, and in particular, his work with GRACE was featured. JPL took the lead in producing some key animations that appear several times in the film and provide the thread that links the different sub-stories (mostly regional in focus) together. There were some scenes shot in the mission operations room at JPL. GRACE Project Scientist, Mike Watkins, and JPL GRACE researcher, Victor Zlotnicki, also appear briefly in the movie.
